effectively pricing the project

Don't beat around the bush - let's get to the solution that fits your exact needs. We are here to be your advocate in the online world. Since your success is our success, we already have a vested interest.

What do you think of this website?

How Much Will It Cost?

Each project presents its own set of requirements that will dictate facets such as; technology, marketing and ongoing maintenance - each being a cost consideration. However, we want to give you an idea of the costs to complete your vision. Here are a few suggestions that will get the ball rolling in short order.

Spend the time to write down your requirements

It doesn't have to be overly detailed - but it will help us understand your vision. If you simply don't know what features and/or functionality will be needed, for a fee we will research and write the requirements for/with you. This can be a great way to put our relationship to the test and better set internal expectations of cost and scope.

What is your ideal number?

Tell us what you are willing to spend, paint the ideal scenario. Often this will allow us to decide which approach and technology would be best suited for your project. We are (most likely) not going to be the lowest bidder for your project. If you just want to bang your site out - and your decision is solely based on budget (without regard for quality), we may not be a good fit for you.

Do some research

Seems like a no brainer, but in this industry pricing and quality can vary GREATLY. Your options can range from your brother-in-law Bob, to a Professional Creative Agency - and unless your brother-in-law Bob works at said creative agency, odds are not in your favor. Yes, it's cliche, but true - You get what you pay for.

Okay, that's great but I need to know more

Below is a rough overview of what a typical CMS project would entail.

Hypothetical CMS Project

  • Project Management, meetings, and correspondence over an 8-week period: 40 hours
  • Research and Information Architecture (competitive analysis, structure, wire frames): 40 hours
  • Visual Design (one design direction): 30 hours
  • Front End Coding (turning designs into HTML and CSS): 20 hours
  • Content Management System setup: 40 hours
  • Content migration and CMS training: 20 hours
  • QA and testing: 10 hours

For those keeping track, that's a total of 200 hours spread over an 8-week period.

Of course, this is very ballpark. Every estimate is customized for a given project, and cost will vary depending on your specific needs. Contact us today for our current rate sheet.

Build it and they will come

Not necessarily true. Other things to consider are; SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEM (Search Engine Marketing), Pay per click and ongoing maintenance.
